ZTE integrates iWedia's Live TV app for Android TV

ZTE and iWedia collaborate to bring premium Android TV Hybrid products into the market

BANGKOK, Thailand — Android TV Summit — ZTE, a global leader in telecommunications and information technology, and iWedia S.A, part of the ZEGi group and world-class provider of software solutions for connected TV devices, today announced that they are collaborating to launch iWedia’s Live TV application for ZTE’s retail hybrid devices.

As the most used application on Android TV devices, Live TV app represents the basis for delivering premium user experience. ZTE is working with iWedia to integrate its Live TV app which allows them to achieve an enhanced customer experience and the ability to drive much greater value.

Alongside basic features such as an EPG, channel list and parental controls, the launch of the Live TV app will also see major new features including branding options for TV brands, with customizable look and feel, rich metadata (optional add-on), voice control with Google Assistant, deep linking with streaming services and seamless integration with Google TV.
