Viacom18 ropes in Kaltura OTT TV to power its digital VOD service VOOT

  • New ad-based VOD service launched with around 17,000 hours of content

MUMBAI, India and NEW YORK, NY — Kaltura, the leading video technology company, today announced that it is powering Viacom18’s newly launched digital VOD service VOOT. The ad-supported video streaming service had launched, last week, with close to 17,000 hours of domestic and international content, from a multitude of popular channels associated with Viacom18, including the flagship Hindi GEC- Colors, Nick, MTV India among others. Viacom18 is a joint venture between Viacom Inc. and India’s Network18.

VOOT includes over 17,000 hours of existing content, as well as original content created specifically for VOOT, and a huge collection of Kids animated/cartoon characters suitable for consumption by children between three and ten years.
