Citizens Fiber chooses Innovative Systems IPTV middleware
Monday, July 11th, 2016PA Fiber Provider Chooses APMAX Middleware
With their vision to fiber migration and the desire to give their legacy cable TV customers a better experience, Citizens Fiber in southwest Pennsylvania has chosen the APMAX platform from Innovative Systems for the delivery of their IPTV middleware.
According to Citizens General Manager Arnie Cutrell, they see IPTV as a positive leap forward for their cable customers with greater functionality and whole home DVR options. As Citizens is expanding their fiber presence, the future capabilities of IPTV made it an easy business decision. Cutrell added that the APMAX platform also gives them growth options with the future addition of the InnoStream solution, a one stop VOD platform that does not require a third party vendor as all hardware, software and support is provided by Innovative Systems.
Subscriber and administrative management has been a pleasant surprise as Scott Craig, Citizens Technology Director, says that built in tools like the Virtual Remote™ make troubleshooting of the STBs much easier. Craig also commented on how easy it was to set up the middleware solution and that they were able to get it running quickly with nothing more than remote tech support from the Innovative Systems team back in Mitchell SD.
Customer Feedback
Craig says that particularly for the cable customers, the speed as well as the look and feel of the guide have been well received. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and everybody loves the Weather App.
