HAMBURG — Foxconn, one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of consumer electronics, and NetRange, the global leader for white label Smart TV solutions, have announced a unique collaboration. Thanks to NetRange’s widespread expertise in Smart TV technology and software development, Foxconn will be able to equip its TV devices with a complete, turnkey middleware and be the first OEM to deliver ready-to-go products to the numerous renowned brands it produces for. This includes a ready-to-use Smart TV portal as well as a wide range of integrated and certified premium VoD applications.
Hence the Foxconn / NetRange project enables TV brands to offer the solutions that meet current market standards, saving them the sumptuous and demanding procedure of developing and integrating VoD applications.
“We are excited to make this huge step forward and to evolve with a key player as powerful as Foxconn”, emphasizes Jan Wendt, CEO of NetRange. “Together we will be able to ease the pain points that the Smart TV market has due to the constantly growing complexity of TV requirements and to deliver to users the fascinating choice Smart TV has to offer.”
