LG expects to sell 5 million set-top boxes in the U.S. this year

LG Electronics has said Thursday that it expects to sell more than 5 million digital set-top boxes in the United States this year. The increased demand is driven by the set-top box subsidy provided by the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) to support analog switchover in the U.S.
