UPC DTH and Telenor Satellite extend at 1 degree west

OSLO — Telenor Satellite today announces that it has extended its satellite distribution agreement with UPC DTH, one of the largest Direct-to-Home (DTH) providers in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new agreement is a long term multi-transponder agreement, which will continue to provide UPC DTH with satellite capacity for its broadcast traffic on the THOR 5, THOR 6 and THOR 7 satellites.

Telenor’s satellite fleet resides at the prime orbital location, 1 degree west, which currently serves over 2,2 million DTH households in Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and is one of the fastest growing orbital location in Central and Eastern Europe.
