PARIS, DENVER, SINGAPORE, SAO PAULO — ATEME today announced that České Radiokomunikace, a leading provider of digital infrastructure and the largest Czech service provider, has deployed its compression and statistical multiplexing (statmux) solutions for the company’s DVB-T2 HEVC services. České Radiokomunikace’s brand new HEVC statmux headend uses ATEME’s TITAN full-software solution to deliver more than 15 channels in one DVB-T2 multiplex across the Czech Republic with premium video quality.
ATEME is the leading vendor of pure-software encoding solutions spearheaded by the TITAN software family, which delivers the highest video quality at minimum bitrates for cable, DTT, DTH and OTT. ATEME’s modular, software-based approach provides even more flexibility for customers, allowing them to combine any input/output, any CODEC and any resolution, from an encoder to a video headend in a box.
“We have developed a successful partnership with ATEME over the years, and their roadmap fits perfectly with our growth plans,” said Michal Bures, broadcast engineering supervisor at České Radiokomunikace. “That’s why we chose ATEME’s TITAN pure-software solution. Running on any commercial off-the-shelf server, it removes all infrastructure constraints and provides us with the full flexibility we need today.’On top of that, this future-proof solution is available on a pay-as-you-grow model, and will benefit from further ATEME R&D enhancements through simple software upgrades. We believe that the ATEME TITAN solution will support us in the transition from DVB-T/MPEG-2 to DVB-T2/HEVC.”
Alexis Aubreton, EMEA sales manager at ATEME said: “We’re thrilled to work with České Radiokomunikace on their major DTT launch. ATEME is committed to enabling service providers aroud the world with the technology necessary to continuously enhance their service portfolios. ‘České Radiokomunikace remains at the forefront of service innovation by offering TV broadcasters and households across the country this exciting new DTT service.”
