Airtel Digital TV adds 416,000 subscribers in 4Q 2017

NEW DELHI, India — Bharti Airtel Limited (“Bharti Airtel” or “the Company”) today announced its audited consolidated Ind-AS results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017.
Digital TV Services
As on December 31, 2017, the company had its Digital TV operations in 639 districts. DTH had 13.9 million customers at the end of the quarter, which represents an increase of 10.7%, as compared to the corresponding quarter last year. Net customer additions for Digital TV during the quarter were 416 K. ARPU for the quarter was at Rs 233 as compared to Rs 232 in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from Digital TV services increased by 10.4% to Rs 9,642 million as compared to Rs 8,735 million in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA for this segment continued to improve and was at Rs 3,708 million as compared to Rs 3,026 million in the corresponding quarter last year. The reported EBITDA margin improved to 38.5% in the current quarter, as compared to 34.6% in the corresponding quarter last year. EBIT for the quarter was at Rs 1,500 million in the current quarter, as compared to Rs 684 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
