HiSilicon signs Synamedia technology license agreement

SHENZHEN, China — HiSilicon Technologies Co., Ltd, a world leading fabless IC semiconductor company, today announced it has signed a licensing agreement with Synamedia for its video solutions.
“We are delighted to sign this technology license agreement with Synamedia so soon after it became an independent powerhouse,” said John Liu, GM of STB product line, HiSilicon. “With the future integration of Synamedia’s VideoGuard technologies in our next generation set-top box SoCs, we will bring to market a range of cost-effective, industry-leading solutions for HD, 4K and 8K products across Synamedia’s Foundation and Infinite platforms.”
