  • World’s leading music video platform scales its offering by partnering with Vewd for global distribution on smart TVs

NEW YORK and OSLO, Norway — Vevo, the leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, today announced a partnership with Vewd, the world’s largest smart TV OTT software provider. The agreement will make Vevo’s unparalleled premium music video content catalog available for tens of millions of Vewd-enabled devices from Sony, Hisense, Philips, and TiVo, among others.

The partnership will bring the Vevo catalog to a broad array of smart TVs managed by Vewd in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Vevo will retain full editorial control of its content, with audiences having access to localized and global content dependent on geographic location.

Vevo leveraged Vewd’s proprietary ‘Snap’ technology to create one unified app that works across major Vewd-enabled smart TV platforms. Vewd software enables OTT and streaming video on almost 50 million smart TVs and set-top boxes each year, with more than 350 million Vewd enabled devices delivered to date. Vevo content will be accessible on Vewd in late September 2019.
