Amazon Prime Video app now available on UPC TV

OPFIKON — Starting today, UPC TV customers will benefit from the Amazon Prime Video app being available on UPC TV.

Fans of film and TV series are able to watch all Amazone Prime Video content directly from the UPC TV box on their TV by a simple push of a button.
Highlights such as “Coming 2 America” starring Eddie Murphy, the successful German Amazon Original TV series “Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo”, the second season of the hit show “The Boys” or the young adult series “The Wilds” are available.

As a leading provider of communication and entertainment in Switzerland, Sunrise UPC already provides entertainment fans a huge range of offers. Netflix, Starzplay, YouTube, Sky and Blue TV app are also fully integrated on the UPC TV box. Via the Amazon Prime Video app UPC TV customers can now directly access to even more exciting Original productions, Hollywood movies, top series, documentaries, independent movies, stand-up comedy and a wide range of kids’ titles.

The new Amazon Prime Video app will be available from today in the app store of UPC TV. Existing Amazon Prime Video customers will incur no additional costs, they can just sign in through the app or use their existing credentials to start enjoying content on their UPC TV. For new customers, the first 7 days are available at no additional cost when customers sign up for a new Amazon Prime Video account for the first time, subject to Amazon Prime Video’s terms and conditions (available here). The monthly subscription thereafter is CHF 9.99. Customers watching TV over the Sunrise TV Box UHD have been able to access Amazon Prime Video content directly over the fully integrated app since October 2020 already.

The world of entertainment in one place

With the new Amazon Prime Video app, one of the biggest international streaming platforms is integrated on the UPC TV box. Innovative technology and exclusive content

UPC TV includes a superfast set-top box with 4K ultra HD picture quality, a remote control with voice functions, push to TV functionality and the UPC TV App, which makes seamless TV viewing possible everywhere. Customers also receive a very extensive TV programme with more than 240 channels, including the MySports One channel which offers exclusive live sports. It is possible to stream virtually unlimited films and programmes (2,000 hours) and watch them from anywhere thanks to cloud storage. The offer also includes 7 days of Replay as well as Cloud Recordings and the option for every person in the household to create their own profile.

The series “The Flight Attendant” will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime in Switzerland from 23 April 2021.
