OSN Selects Comcast Technology Solutions For Streaming Video Service Across Middle East And North Africa

DENVER — Comcast Technology Solutions, a division of Comcast Cable that provides media and entertainment technology to content providers, operators, and advertisers, announced today that its Cloud TV Suite serves the back-end platform for OSN’s video entertainment service, OSN Streaming App. OSN Streaming App provides a multi-screen video entertainment experience to consumers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

OSN is the leading entertainment network provider across MENA, offering an extensive range of exclusive and original programming and popular shows and movies – all in one place. The OSN Streaming App is a direct-to-consumer, subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service, powered by Comcast Technology Solutions, that enables viewers to watch their favorite shows across connected TVs, computers, smartphones, and tablets.

Specifically, OSN is using the Cloud TV Suite from Comcast Technology Solutions, which includes a comprehensive video management platform for centralized ingest of video assets; easy workflow management; multi-language metadata management; video processing; content protection; entitlements, availability windows, and rights enforcement; data analytics and insights; and content delivery and publishing across devices and apps. In addition, Comcast Technology Solutions provides OSN with VOD workflow, including transcoding, and its Content Delivery Network (CDN) Suite for distribution and linear processing–all integrated into a single service level agreement and support model.
