Thursday, April 13th, 2023Mirada and Broadpeak partner to boost the video experience in Mexico
Mirada, provider of cutting-edge products and services for digital TV services, is proud to announce an important deployment in partnership with leading video streaming provider Broadpeak.
The partnership sees both companies working together for telco giant izzi Telecom, part of Televisa Group and the second biggest player in the Mexican market, to replace izzitv’s origin servers and take their content delivery to the next level with a bespoke on-premises solution for its video platform.
Mirada’s Iris solution was first deployed for izzi Telecom in 2016 to launch the izzitv viewing experience. Since then, it has taken subscriber loyalty and engagement one step further to become Mexican viewers’ favourite TV service, in large part thanks to the Iris ecosystem of apps enabling operators to offer a hyper-personalised user experience with full control of their platform’s content promotion and curation, advertising strategies and micro-targeting, as well as the possibiliy to craft tailored interfaces based on user preferences. Most recent developments have included one of the biggest deployments of Android TV in Latin America and the successful integration of all premium content providers, positioning izzi as the leader of content super-aggregation in the region.
Broadpeak’s BkS350 Origin Packager, BkS400 Shield Caches and BkM100 Video Delivery Mediator, enable izzi Telecom’s content delivery to bring viewers their favourite content on any type of screen. With its just-in time packaging feature and a built-in cache mechanism, BkS350 reduces the need of encoding and storage resources for izzi Telecom and provides a high throughput capacity generating important savings.
With this partnership, Mirada and Broadpeak solidify the seamless integration of their technologies to empower a Tier I telco in futureproofing its video delivery and consumption offering to millions of subscribers.
Broadpeak CEO, Jacques Le Mancq, commented: “We are very pleased that the easy integration and great collaboration with Mirada allows izzi Telecom, a major Mexican operator, to bring a compelling experience to their subscribers.”
Mirada CEO, José-Luis Vázquez, commented: “We are proud of the results of this partnership, as we add another successful collaboration to our vast track record of working with leading technology partners to offer the most advanced integrated solutions to our customers. We strongly believe that bringing together Broadpeak’s superior technology with Mirada’s award-winning Iris solution will elevate the viewing experience of its subscribers and further strengthen izzi’s position in Mexico.”
