Streambox Media to launch TV OS tailored for India
Friday, October 25th, 2024
Streambox Media is to introduce a Smart TV operating system developed for the Indian market, enabling users to access TV shows, movies, news and live sports through a single user interface.
The OS aims to simplify content discovery across multiple OTT platforms and live television services, eliminating the pain of navigating multiple apps.
Anuj Gandhi, Founder and CEO of Streambox Media, said, “India’s connected TV households are expected to exceed 100 million by 2027, a significant increase from just 40 million in 2023. The OTT market is projected to grow from $2 billion in 2023 to $5 billion by 2027, driven by changing consumer preferences for on-demand content. We aim to be a key player in this evolving landscape with our ‘Made in India but made for the world stage’ approach.”
