- Whale TV Continues to Provide Platform Management for Active Smart TVs; Companies Will Collaborate to Expand Market Presence in Various Regions Including Asia, Middle East and Africa
SINGAPORE — Whale TV™ and TPV today announced the extension of their strategic partnership to build and maintain easy to use and affordable smart TVs. The two companies have been partnering for over a decade and under the renewed partnership agreement Whale TV will continue to maintain the TV OS and platform for select TV models. Next to managing and monetizing the existing installed base, Whale TV and TPV will work hand in hand to expand their market share in various regions including Asia, Middle East and Africa.
“We have been working with TPV for many years and together we shipped millions of smart TVs around the world. We license our TV OS to TPV but also are responsible for platform maintenance such as updates, device management, app onboarding and certification. We are now entering a new phase in our partnership where we will work even closer together to help grow the TV business of TPV in emerging markets. Our teams work seamlessly together, and I look forward to building out our relationship even further,” said Jason He, CEO of Whale TV.
In emerging markets, TPV smart TVs will be powered by the smart & simple Whale TV operating system.
