Award-Winning IP Video Gateway Eliminates Need for Set-top Boxes to Enable IPTV Services Throughout Arizona and New Mexico
SAN MATEO, California — Entone, Inc., a leading provider of IPTV home connectivity solutions, today announced that its award-winning Hydra HD™ IP video gateway has been chosen by Valley TeleCom Group for their IPTV service rollout.
Valley Telecom Group delivers advanced digital telephone, Internet and IPTV services to its customers in Arizona and New Mexico.
“We have always been proud of our commitment to providing high quality communications services to our local communities,” comments Jeremy Graves, COO at Valley TeleCom Group. “Entone’s Hydra enables us to offer advanced IPTV services without extensive in-home rewiring, thus significantly lowering our operational costs and improving the experience for our customers.”
Entone’s Hydra HD IP video gateway will enable Valley TeleCom Group to distribute video signals throughout subscriber homes using existing coax cabling without requiring a set-top box at each television. Hydra HD dramatically improves the business case for IPTV services by reducing the installation costs and eliminating the complexities associated with IP video deployment.
“We are pleased to be working with Valley TeleCom Group who, along with more than 50 other US telco operators, has selected Entone as their CPE partner for their IPTV deployment,” said Steve McKay, Entone’s CEO. “Valley TeleCom Group is a progressive operator that typifies the opportunity for communications cooperatives and IOCs to deliver a superior television service to their customers.”
