Towercom wins Slovakia DVB-T infrastructure tender

TelekomunikaÄný úrad SR (TÚ SR), the Telecommunications Office of the Slovak Republic, has announced that Towercom is the winner of its re-tender for the award of operating licences for digital terrestrial television (DTT).
The tender was for two multiplexes for network operators and one for public broadcasting, with transmission using DVB-T (with the possibility of a move to DVB-T2).
The deadline for submissions was July 16, 2009 at 13.30 hrs.
Taking part in the tender were Telecom Corp. a.s., Towercom a.s., and Valtech Communications Inc.
