Sri Lanka's Dialog TV up 68% Y-o-Y in 1Q09 to 130k subscribers

COLOMBO — Dialog Telekom (Colombo:DIAL) has announced results for the 1st Quarter of 2009. Dialog Telekom operates Dialog TV, a direct-to-home satellite television service in Sri Lanka.
Dialog’s subsidiaries Dialog Broadband Networks (DBN) and Dialog Television (DTV) continued to deliver growth and capture market and revenue share in the Fixed Line, Broadband and Pay Television sectors. CDMA & Broadband subscribers and Pay TV subscribers (active base) increased by 149% YoY (over 182k) and 68% YoY (over 130k) respectively. DBN recorded revenue growth of 3% YoY mainly derived from Broadband (51%) and Internet Services (140%), whilst DTV recorded a revenue growth of 49% YoY.
