Amino Communications (LSE AIM: AMO) will showcase its award-winning OTT and IPTV solutions at IPTV World Forum 2011 – giving a European debut to its Freedom Jump OTT media centre with new 3D capability.

Aligned with one of the key themes of the show, Amino will also highlight its “real world” OTT experience, drawing on its role in providing the technology underpinning the world’s first tier 1 hybrid/OTT rollout, with a range of demonstrations of its product and solutions capability.

Visitors to Amino’s stand (no. 41) – at London’s Olympia from 22-24 March – will have access to a range of “hands-on” demos of the company’s latest products targeted at the pay-TV, IPTV and enterprise and hospitality markets – plus the company’s end-to-end solutions offering.

The new Freedom Jump device is designed to complement existing cable and satellite set-top boxes, working alongside them to offer access to the wealth of additional content available on the open Internet including applications, movie-on-demand services, gaming, catch-up TV, music services and social networking.

Based on the company’s multi-award winning Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT media centre, the Freedom Jump is powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor CE4100 and MeeGo™ for the TV, and for the first time will demonstrate its 3D capabilities.

Amino Chief Executive Officer Andrew Burke said: “Since last year’s show, OTT has moved on from being a hot discussion topic to becoming a key strategic imperative for the pay-TV industry which in turn is translating into the first commercial deployments. As a company which provides the technology to underpin the world’s first hybrid/OTT rollout, we’re in a unique position to discuss the opportunities and challenges operators face.

“More than this, we can also demonstrate the technology – both as a full hybrid/OTT and companion devices – that is driving the market. We look forward to introducing our latest innovation to highlight the leading edge position we have in this exciting market.”

Andrew will also speak at the event “Smart TV trends” in the Connected TV stream at 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd March.
