Technicolor celebrates its 150 millionth Set-Top Box

PARIS, France — Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) today announced it has reached the milestone of 150 million digital set top boxes since it shipped its first one in 1994. This milestone confirms Technicolor’s ability to maintain technology leadership over time for delivering video solutions to cable, satellite, terrestrial, and Hybrid/IP network providers.

Technicolor has been able to ship more than 10 million Set Top Boxes per year over the last 10 years, with a significant increase of Set Top Boxes delivery to fast-growing markets such as Latin America, India and Southern Asia over the last few quarters. The 150 millionth Set-Top Box was shipped to Tata Sky, a leading digital TV operator in India, and a customer of Technicolor since 2006.
