Sharp expands deal with Espial for Smart TVs
Tuesday, July 8th, 2014OTTAWA — Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software and solutions, today announced that Sharp Corporation has selected Espial TV Browser for additional mid-range smart TV models in select geographies to offer rich Smart TV Apps and HTML5 user experiences. Espial software is currently already deployed in various Sharp AQUOS LED TV models in North America and other regions globally.

The Espial TV Browser accelerates the deployment of Internet video apps like YouTube, Hulu, Amazon, interactive TV content, web browsing and rich HTML5 user experiences. Based on WebKit and HTML5, it is designed with advanced features to provide high reliability and a high performance user experience for consumer electronic devices like Connected TV’s, STBs, and Digital Media Devices.
