Service Electric Cable TV and Communications Chooses ARRIS For Delivery of TV Everywhere

SUWANEE, Ga. — ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) announced that Service Electric Cable TV and Communications selected ARRIS for their new SE NEXT Entertainment Platform. Consisting of the ARRIS Whole Home Solution with an available MS4000™ Media Streamer, Service Electric now enables their subscribers throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey the ability to stream live and recorded content throughout the home and on the go.

The ARRIS Whole Home Solution includes a family of Media Gateway and Player products, offering Service Electric’s customers a centralized gateway that provides simultaneous use of feature-rich video and telephony services, 6-tuner HD multi-room DVR, Wi-Fi®, DOCSIS® 3.0 data rates, and media-sharing capabilities available through an intuitive user interface.

Service Electric customers with the ARRIS Whole Home Solution will also have the ability to purchase and add the ARRIS MS4000™ Media Streamer to their entertainment system. Powered by Sling Media’s award-winning place-shifting technology, the MS4000 is technologically advanced enough to stream live TV and DVR content to subscribers’ mobile devices anywhere they may be, yet simple enough to set-up in the home that a subscriber can quickly do so without assistance.

ARRIS’s recent Consumer Entertainment Index revealed that 70 percent of US/Canadian consumers enjoy streaming content at least once a week and that 48 percent would be interested in a service that allowed them to watch TV on any device in any location. By enabling in-home and remote streaming to mobile devices, the ARRIS Whole Home Solution and MS4000 lets Service Electric’s subscribers enjoy their media, their way.
