CMMB simulcrypt to be completed by year-end

The addition of a second conditional access system (CAS) to the CMMB mobile TV service from China Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) [formerly CSMBC] is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The alternative CAS is from Beijing Novel-Super Digital TV Technology, a subsidiary of China Digital TV Holding (NYSE: STV), and sits alongside the existing system from Nagravision (SIX:KUD.VX).
The roll-out began at the end of September and covers 33% of the country today.
