ANACOM publishes 3Q09 pay TV numbers for Portugal

According to the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), in the third quarter of 2009, the total number of pay TV subscribers in Portugal exceeded 2.4 million, 72 thousand more than in the previous quarter and 232 thousand more than a year earlier.
The main drivers of growth were, first, “other technologies” (IPTV etc.) and, secondly, DTH.
