CANAL+ Spain to launch 3D transmissions in April

Grupo PRISA-owned Sogecable’s CANAL+ (Madrid: PRS) will begin broadcasting a 3D channel – Canal Plus 3D – in April, the first such service in Spain.

Customers will be able to receive the programming through their ‘iPlus’ DIGITAL+ satellite set-top box in conjunction with a 3D-capable television. Such TVs should be available in Spain before the summer.
