Espial® Showcases Enhanced Evo® DVR Capabilities at IBC 07

OTTAWA — The Netherlands (IBC, Stand IP103 “IPTVZone”) – Espial® Group Inc. (TSX: “ESP”), a leading provider of IPTV middleware and applications, today announced it has enhanced Evo® DVR with updates to features including Evo® StartOver TV, the ability to record multiple programs simultaneously, and an advanced conflict resolution engine. Also at IBC this week, Espial will be launching a new HD user interface and demonstrating new services including Evo® Timeshift TV and mobile convergence capabilities.

Evo DVR allows IPTV operators to offer exceptional viewing freedom fortheir customers. Subscribers can schedule recurring recordings and play them back at any time with full control to pause, rewind, fast-forward and bookmark. Evo DVR’s advanced conflict resolution engine ensures subscriber recordings are handled without delay.

Also at IBC, Espial’s Brian Mahony will be delivering a free workshop on Saturday, September 7th at 9:30 in Room A in the IPTV Zone. Mahony will detail how Espial’s Evo IPTV Service Platform can save IPTV service providers the equivalent of 33%, or $195 million over a 5-year deploymentto one million subscribers.
