Widevine Video Optimization and Digital Rights Management Will Be Included in Metrological’s Metroconnect OS for the Smooth, Secure Delivery of Content to Metrological-Powered Devices

SEATTLE, WA — Widevine, a provider of digital entertainment solutions, today announced that Widevine’s adaptive streaming, virtual DVD/Blu-ray features and digital rights management (DRM) technologies will integrate with Metrological Media Innovations’ Metroconnect Operating System (OS) to ensure subscribers enjoy highest quality, over-the-top video content on the new Metrological Mediaconnect TV.

Metrological Media Innovations’ software for set-top box devices enables operators to extend over-the-top home media entertainment services to their subscribers. Metrological’s Mediaconnect TV is a new hybrid 2-way media device, which considerably enhances the consumer’s TV experience. While watching conventional television, TV viewers are able to simultaneously access an extensive range of additional next generation, web based multimedia applications.
