Omer Telecom to offer DVB-H mobile TV in France

Omer Telecom is planning to launch mobile TV (Télévision Mobile Personnelle – TMP) under the Virgin Mobile brand which it operates in France. The service will use a DVB-H multiplex network provided by TDF.
TDF’s network will be launched in the second half of 2011 and will cover 50% of the French metropolitan population.
The deal has been approved by France’s Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA) audiovisual regulatory authority.
