Antenna Hungária launches a pay-tv service branded as MinDig TV Extra on its digital terrestrial television platform

Antenna Hungária launches a pay-tv service branded as MinDig TV Extra on its digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) platform as of May 25, 2010. The new service offers additional 10 popular thematic channels for the inquirers besides the 7 free-to-air channels of MinDig TV. In the frame of a special promotion available until the end of June, the monthly subscription fee for the MinDig TV Extra package is gross 699 HUF only for the first 6 months in case of undertaking a one year loyalty period and paying a gross 2899 HUF activation fee. Subscriptions can be made at the contracted distributor partners of AH as well, among others at dedicated shops and sales points of Euronics, Photo Hall, but also in some supermarket chain and at several antenna-specialist shops.

The pay-tv selection includes National Geographic, AXN, Film+, Cool, Sport Klub, Disney Channel, FEM3, Hír TV, ATV and Private Spice channels. Together with the free-to-air channels (RTL Klub, TV2, m1 HD, m2 HD, Duna TV HD, Duna II Autonómia, euronews) a total of 17 programs are available on the digital terrestrial television platform.

The MinDig TV continues to provide subscription-free service of the free-to-air channels, by this the digital terrestrial platform offers an exceptional flexibility for the user: he can decide about watching the free-to-air channels only, or he can opt for additional popular channels in the frame of the pay-tv service.

So as to receive the MinDig TV Extra service, a wideband rooftop antenna in good condition and a DVB-T MPEG-4 set-top-box handling a Conax-card or in case of an integrated television set equipped with a DVB-T MPEG-4 tuner, a CA-module are needed. The equipment, meeting the needs of the subscriber can be purchased at most of the electronic retail shops. Antenna Hungária proposes to purchase a MinDig TV stickered receiver, as that device is compatible with the requirements defined for the reception of the digital terrestrial television programs. The activation process of the smart card provided by the service provider is very simple, the card can be activated by calling the call center (06 40 900 999).

Antenna Hungária provides the freedom of choice in the payment method also: the inquirers can chose a post-paid contract for an indefinite period, or contracting for a definite 3, 6 or 12 months period in order to receive the MinDig TV Extra encoded channels with a pre-paid card. In the latter case AH gives further discounts during the promotion time to the subscriber, the smart card valid for 3 months is available for gross 5 999 HUF, with one-year validity it costs gross 13 999 HUF only.

Subscriptions can be made at the contracted distributor partners of AH as well, among others at dedicated shops and sales points of Euronics, Photo Hall, but also in some supermarket chain and at several antenna-specialist shops. There is a round-the-clock call center (06 40 900 999), a website at www.mindigtvextra.hu and two customer care offices located at Sugár Mall and in South-Buda are available for customers and inquirers.

The launch of the service is preceded by intensive communication; the inquirers can be informed about the start of the MinDig TV Extra from television and radio spots, from press, outdoor, online and point-of-sales advertisements.

With the launch of MinDig TV Extra service, the sale of Terra+ package – where ATV and Hír TV programs could be watched through a pre-paid smart card – provided by Antenna Hungária previously, will discontinue. The present Terra+ users can continue to watch the abovementioned two programs, additionally AH will have a favorable offer for them regarding the MinDig TV Extra service soon.
