Digital TV increases to 41% of Dutch households
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007According to synovate/Interview NSS, the conversion of media and communication services to digital continues apace in the Netherlands. Digital TV now reaches 41% of all households, an increase of 50% compared with last year. Although TV over ADSL (IPTV) is on the rise, cable tv remains the dominant delivery method. 24% of all TV households have digital cable TV, whereas only 4% have IPTV.
The hard-disk or personal video recorder (PVR), threatening the effectiveness of traditional TV advertising, grew also at a similar rate (from 9% to 14%).
