Dominican Republic chooses ATSC for DTT

SANTO DOMINGO — The Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (Indotel) has announced that the American ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) standard for digital terrestrial television has been adopted for the Dominican Republic.
At the same time it was announced that analogue switch-off will take place in September 2015.
