Broadcasting Highlights

  • D Smart, Digital Platform launched in March 07.
  • Revenue sharing agreement with Discovery Group Channels
  • Total number of thematic channels reached 27, including Discovery Channels.
  • Kanal D Romania started broadcasting in Feb 07.
  • StarTV’s program prototype fully changed in the new season.
  • Successful season for Kanal D.
  • Partnership with Axel Springer on Dogan TV Holding: Axel Springer acquired 25% of DoganTV at €375m.
  • JV with TF1 on Teleshopping became operational

Total D-Smart users are expected to reach 4.8mn in 2016 (from 150,944 at end-August 2007), corresponding to ~23% of total households and ~33% of total satellite households.

STBs will be produced by Humax, Coship and Kaon Technology. Humax will deliver 1 million STBs in the first year.
