Zoran Adds Value to New Consumer-Electronics SoCs With Integration of SENSIO®Hi-Fi 3D

New products will meet OEM demand for SENSIO’s technology in Zoran solutions for 3DTVs and STBs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC — SENSIO Technologies Inc. (SENSIO) (TSX VENTURE:SIO) today announced that Zoran, a leading provider of solutions for the digital entertainment and digital imaging markets, will integrate SENSIO® Hi-Fi 3D decoding technology into new Zoran system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions for 3D-capable audiovisual products, including TVs and set-top boxes (STBs). By leveraging SENSIO’s 3D expertise and the unparalleled image quality of the company’s 3D format in this new SoC, Zoran offers its CE OEM customers added value and flexibility in the development of products that enrich the 3D viewing experience.

SENSIO® Hi-Fi 3D is a unique frame-compatible technology for high-fidelity stereoscopic signal processing, easily integrated into display products. Developed by SENSIO more than 10 years ago and deployed in the field for seven years, this mature technology has been trusted by the biggest names in content creation for every commercial live 3D event presented in cinemas around the world, as well as for high-profile console games and DVD movies. This agreement is the sixth signed by SENSIO with major semiconductor manufacturers in the past year.
