Angola completes initial ISDB-T trials
Monday, April 11th, 2011The Fórum SBTVD has announced that the first phases of ISDB-T trials have been completed in Angola. The test signal was broadcast on a 5kW Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA) transmitter between December 2010 and February 2011 in the capital Luanda, with test receivers installed around the city.
A channel bandwidth of 8MHz was used, rather than the 6MHz used in Japan and Latin America, to demonstrate that the ISDB-T system is compatible with systems in use in Angola.
