118.7 thousand pay TV subscribers for Montenegro at end-September

PODGORICA — The Agency for Electronic Media (Agencije za elektronske medije) in Montenegro has released subscriber figures for the seven operators (four cable and one each of MMDS, IPTV and DTH) authorised to distribute radio and TV programmes to end users in the country.
As at September 30, 2011, the number of connections for the distribution of radio and TV programmes over the different Cable/MMDS/DTH/IPTV platforms was 118,712, representing 65.76% of households, the remainder being covered by terrestrial TV.

IPTV has the leading position in radio and TV distribution with 39.54% of the market. It is followed by DTH distribution at 29.70% percent and Cable and MMDS with 14.42% and 16.34% respectively.
