Beltelecom registers 400-thousandth ZALA subscriber

On October 14, 2011 the number of subscribers of interactive television ZALA in Belarus reached 400,000. The jubilee ZALA subscriber was registered in Beltelecom Service Centre of Bykhov district, Mogilev region. The lucky subscriber is a citizen of the agricultural township Barkolabovo. Beltelecom presented the 400-thousandth ZALA subscriber with a certificate for a free one-year subscription to interactive television ZALA.
To provide telecommunication services in the township, Bykhov Main District Exchange of Beltelecom Mogilev Branch has organized communication channel via fiber-optical line, launched electronic exchange for 208 numbers and installed broadband access equipment. Now the reliable telephone connection as well as services of high-speed Internet access byfly and interactive television ZALA are available for residents of Barkolabovo.
«Provision of modern telecommunication services in rural areas is one of the priority tasks of Beltelecom. Thus, as part of this trend as of the beginning of the year residents of 96 rural settlement of the Mogilev region can use interactive television ZALA. It is planned that by the end of 2011 such opportunity will be available for residents of 14 settlements.
In total at the beginning of October 2011 it is registered about 56,5 thousand subscribers of ZALA in the Mogilev region, about 2,5 of which are in Bykhov district. As of the beginning of the year the subscriber’s base of ZALA in Mogilev oblast increased by 67%. High rate of connection confirms that the service is of interest and demand», – said Aleksandr Lisov, Director of Mogilev branch of Beltelecom.
