CenturyLink Offers New Functionality to Prism TV Users

MONROE, La. – CenturyLink™ (NYSE: CTL) Prism™ TV, the alternative to cable and satellite, just got better with new features and functionality through Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Mediaroom TV technology, the world’s most deployed Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platform. Microsoft Mediaroom already enables Prism customers to have best-in class-features such as whole home DVR and an interactive dashboard.

Prism TV is available in La Crosse, Wis.; Columbia and Jefferson City, Mo.; Orlando, Tallahassee and southwest Florida; Las Vegas, and central North Carolina. Prism subscribers in these markets now have the ability to pause live TV from any room in the house using the popular whole home DVR service. Users can also rewind and fast forward up to the live broadcast point.

Other new enhancements include:

  • Last Five Functionality – The “Last” button on the remote now allows users to flip through the last five channels that they were watching. Great for sports fans keeping up with multiple games.
  • One Touch Channel Favorites Set-up – By selecting “Enter” on the remote, subscribers can easily add the channel they’re watching to their “Favorites” list.
  • Additional Features Coming Soon – Mediaroom will soon support additional applications including access to programming and content online, social media sites such as Facebook, an enhanced On Demand library and additional HD channels.

Experience CenturyLink™ Prism™ TV online at www.seeprismtv.com or at one of the company’s local retail stores in the eight markets where Prism is available.
