Montenegro ends 2011 with 122,734 pay TV subscribers
Wednesday, February 8th, 2012PODGORICA — The Agency for Electronic Media (Agencije za elektronske medije) in Montenegro has released subscriber figures for the seven operators (four cable and one each of MMDS, IPTV and DTH) authorised to distribute radio and TV programmes to end users in the country.
As at December 31, 2011, the number of connections for the distribution of radio and TV programmes over the different Cable/MMDS/DTH/IPTV platforms was 122,734 up 4,022 in the final quarter and representing 63.01% of households, the remainder being covered by terrestrial TV.

IPTV has the leading position in radio and TV distribution with 40.91% of the market. It is followed by DTH distribution at 30.03% percent and MMDS and Cable with 16.25% and 12.81% respectively.
