LONDON & ZAGREB — B.net, Croatia’s leading cable and internet operator and SeaChange International’s (NASDAQ: SEAC) On Demand Group (ODG), the leading European video-on-demand (VOD) aggregator, announced today the launch of subscription on demand (SVOD) services.

The service builds on the successful launch of the transactional video on demand (TVOD) movie service launched by B.net in December. The new SVOD service will allow B.net consumers to view a wide range of premium TV content, including hundreds of their favourite TV shows, the best kids programming, classic movies and the very latest music videos, whenever they want, with complete control to pause, fast forward, rewind or watch programmes over again.

B.net is a leading cable and internet provider in the Croatian market offering the full range of cable TV, internet and telephone telecommunications services for private and business customers. B.net’s services reach over 265,000 Croatian households. The operator also provides services to over 300 local and international businesses.

“We are delighted to have launched a full suite of premium on demand subscription services and to be working with On Demand Group,” said B.net’s CEO, Adrian Jezina. “On Demand Group’s VOD focus, service management and added value marketing skills will allow us to further enhance our services, and combined with our other services, allow us to offer the consumer a total TV experience to watch the programme of their choice whenever they want. This service, which will be branded as B.net Videoklub in the local market, is the first of its kind in Croatia and we expect our users to appreciate the ‘all you can eat’ approach to enjoying the content, within a fixed monthly fee. We believe that this has a clear potential to be a game-changer in the Croatian VOD market.”

“Over the last two years ODG has formed close partnerships with more and more of Europe’s leading and innovative cable and IPTV service providers,” said Tony Kelly, ODG. “We are very pleased to have launched SVOD with B.net to complement the TVOD services launched at the end of last year. This service further demonstrates our premium content aggregation strategy that we have successfully developed in the U.K., German speaking countries, France, Greece, the U.A.E., Serbia, Slovenia, Latin America, and now in Croatia to provide compelling TV-on-demand services, increased efficiencies, cost savings, programming and marketing expertise, and speed to market for multiple clients in multiple territories.”
