Switzerland's SRG SSR announces HbbTV plans

Swiss public broadcast association SRG SSR has announced plans for services based on the HbbTV hybrid TV standard. SRG SSR’s service for French speakers, Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS), is currently running an internal trial, with a commercial offering, featuring VOD and enhanced information services, due to be rolled-out by the end of the year.

HbbTV services from Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) for German speakers and Radiotelevisione svizzera (RSI) for Italian speakers are being developed for introduction in 2013.
