China Telecom issues tender for 4.86 million IPTV set-top boxes
Monday, July 30th, 2012China Telecom (HKG:0728, NYSE:CHA) has released its 2012 RFP for the purchase of IPTV set-top boxes. The requirements is for a total of 4.86 million units, divided into three types – 1.25 million HD IPTV boxes, 3.54 million SD IPTV units, and 74,000 of a new category of ‘smart’ IPTV set-top box.
