ISTANBUL, Turkey — AirTies Wireless Networks, the innovative wireless home networking and Set-Top Box vendor, announces a strategic contract win today – it will exclusively supply its Air7310 PVR Set-Top box to Andorra Telecom.
Andorra Telecom already delivers a wide range of IPTV services, including broadcast content and Video-on-Demand (VoD). The choice of the Air7130 PVR will enable Andorra to deliver a high end IPTV service with PVR functionality to existing and new customers. This future proof STB platform was chosen by Andorra Telecom because it already incorporates Verimatrix Conditional Access, Orca Middleware, Microsoft’s Smooth Steaming technology, HLS and PlayReady DRM thus enabling interactive services and high-definition video streaming over the internet now and going forward.
Bulent Celebi, CEO AirTies remarked, “Andorra Telecom is a strategic and important win for AirTies and we are thrilled to have been selected. Andorra represent exactly the type of customer we are targeting. They are forward thinking and plan to offer an increasing range of advanced services to their customers. AirTies will help them facilitate that ambition and this strong beginning will help cement the foundations of a solid long term business relationship.”
Andorra Telecom’s CTO, Jordi Sebastià Cerqueda commented, “We are delighted to partner with AirTies, who distinguish themselves with their technical expertise and offer a notable portfolio of award winning products. The Air7130 was chosen as it has an extremely fast time to market and offers exactly the type of functionality we need for current and planned future services. We look forward working with AirTies.”
