Kyrgyztelecom begins digital TV transmission in Bishkek

Kyrgyzstan has begun its transition to digital TV with the switching on by Kyrgyztelecom of its first DVB-T2 TV transmitter in Bishkek, the country’s capital and largest city.
The launch is part of a plan to roll-out digital terrestrial TV across the country for eventual analogue switch-off in 2015.
