S3 Demonstrates Software Solutions on Latest High-End STi7200 Device at CES 2008

LAS VEGAS — Silicon & Software Systems (S3) will be demonstrating software solutions running on the latest high-end, feature-rich STi7200 device at the STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) suite at CES 2008. The STi7200 is the latest ST chipset supported by S3, demonstrating a dual High Definition (HD) decoder for Set-Top Box (STB) and Digital Video Recorder (DVR) applications.

S3’s coLinkTV™ software solution is also being demonstrated on the STi7200 which was pivotal in the rapid porting of advanced middleware and applications to this new platform. S3’s coLinkTV software product delivers STB manufacturers and pay TV operators key adaptation software required to rapidly deploy secure, interactive HD STBs and DVRs. The combination of ST and S3 technology enables solutions that can accelerate time-to-market for STB manufacturers.
