NetRange provides leading Italian STB manufacturer TELE System with global Smart TV portal solution

NetRange, the global leader in white label Smart TV portal solutions, announced today it has signed a long-term cooperation with STB Italian market leader, TELE System. NetRange will provide TELE System’s set-top-boxes with next generation Smart TV portals. The cooperation covers devices ranging from pure IP to hybrid devices.

NetRange and TELE System will be collaborating to bring consumers the ultimate television viewing experience. TELE System will be launching the first product integrating NetRange’s Smart TV portals, called tsPlay, in stores in Italy this week.

The tsPlay combines TELE System’s latest hardware technology with innovative Smart TV features through the NetRange portal. For the first time, NetRange will provide TELE System customers who do not own connected TV’s recommendations for high-quality regional and international apps as well as user-definable favorites to enjoy the smart world of television.

Content available through the NetRange portal is tailored for the tastes of the Italian public: national news is covered by the apps Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore, La Gazzetta dello Sport; entertainment is guaranteed by Coming Soon for cinema and Tunin.fm for music. The NetRange portal also provides TELE System customers with remarkable access to international media including The Wall Street Journal for news and ITU Olympic distance Triathlon for live sporting events.
