Georgia's New Media Achara adds satellite broadcasting licence

New Media Achara Ltd („ნიუ მედია აჭარამ“) got the Commission’s consent to receive satellite broadcasting license at the session held today at the Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC).
New Media Achara Ltd already carries out broadcasting activities via cable network. To broaden service the company plans private general broadcasting via terrestrial and orbital stations of satellite systems. The TV company will start practical activities within six month after issuance of the license.
The documentation submitted by New Media Achara Ltd fully meets the requirements of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting.
