2.1 million active smartcards for Italy's TivùSat

ROME — Italian satellite TV platform TivùSat has announced that at the end of the first quarter of 2014 it had more than 2.1 million active smart cards in 1.7 million households.
The regions with the highest penetration levels are Calabria, in which 15% of families have chosen TivùSat, Molise with 14.1% adoption, then Liguria (13.6%), Valle d’Aosta (13.2%), Basilicata (12.4%) and Sicily (10.4%).
The pay-as-you-go satellite platform, on Eutelsat at 13° East, offers 62 channels of TV, including some channels in high definition, plus 32 radio stations.
