Pay TV penetration in Venezuela approaches 60%

CARACAS — According to preliminary statistics published by its Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL), pay TV subscriptions in Venezuela at the end of March 2014 were 4.36 million, up from 3.61 million at the end of the first quarter of 2013 – an increase of 20.6% or 744 thousand.
Household penetration reached 59.56%.
