Thursday, July 17th, 2014
In a blog post, Mozilla has said that aBitCool is developing an HDMI streaming device that will allow users to ‘fling’ content from compatible mobile or Web apps to an HDTV running the company’s Firefox OS.
Mozilla announced at CES this year that it is working with Panasonic to produce televisions based on the Firefox operating system.
According to its web site, aBitCool is “an emerging hardware manufacturer creating innovative media products based on open software platforms such as Firefox OS. The company’s first product is still under wraps and will be introduced later this year.”
