DTT share grows in Poland in 1H 2014

According to Nielsen Audience Measurement, the share of households watching only free-to-air digital terrestrial television in Poland grew from 30.3% to 33.3% during the first half of 2014, largely taking share from cable TV which fell from a share of 33% to 30.8%.
Poland has around 13 million TV households, with satellite TV being the most popular means of pay TV reception at 4.66 million homes, followed by cable TV at 4.24 million. The number of homes that only have digital terrestrial TV is 4.32 million.
Poland completed its analogue switch-off on 23 July 2013.
